Non-profit agency dedicated to child/pedestrian travel safety, education through health and arts programming.

Accomplishments

Promote and facilitate pedestrian community programs through the use of the visual and performing arts in New York City.

Provide services to children and senior citizens in high risk and new immigrant communities at social centers, schools and hospitals to increase knowledge, information, safety, health and integration into the community.

Teach classes to high risk populations in New York City and Nassau County through visual and performing arts.

Accomplishments

Awarded fellowship, position of Artist in Residence Coordinator in addition to studio space and a solo exhibition.

Managed/coordinated aspects of the visiting guest artists personal and professional needs including local travel, studio, and housing issues.

Conducted artist interviews, wrote texts, proofread and edited all English language information.

Taught orientation classes, organized events, lead group critiques, technical support, exhibition reviews.

Liaison, Visual Artist Volunteer

CityArts, Berlin, Germany/New York, NY — 2014

Through CityArts NYC took part in the creation of a permanent, international peace mosaic mural created by artists, volunteers and school children in Berlin, Germany.

Accomplishments

Encouraged/recruited local and international volunteers to become part of and volunteer for the international mosaic peace wall.

In collaboration with artists and local community members as an artist created mosaic peace wall mural at the site of the Jewish cemetery in Berlin, Germany.

Free Arts NYC, New York, NY — 2007-2008

Non-profit organization providing arts and social/public safety programming to underserved and at-risk youth in New York City.

Accomplishments

Oversaw 15 program sites throughout high risk and low-income multicultural communities in New York city, directed 160 volunteers, 15 on-site coordinators and 15 professional facilitators.

Developed and implemented curriculum in accordance with NY state arts standards.
